Collective Creativity as a lifestyle

New Opera Hero tries to encourage humans to find glimpses of creativity within themselves and their environment. He brings together creative and inspired people that want to make this shared pursuit part of their life.

In his work he composes, performs, directs and animates concerts and cross-disciplinary installations, inspired by and in collaboration with the existing talent of the city he lives in at the time.

Since his move to Berlin New Opera Hero started to experiment with classical/electronic piano music and to develop artistic concepts for a cultural harbour in the centre of Berlin

NEW OPERA HERO

New Opera Hero ist the alter ego and artistic playground of award winning composer, musician, director and visual artist Steff Ungerer. Over the years he has brought together artists, musicians and performers to create music based concert installations and cross disciplinary installations around the world.

He has written numerous music scores from Hong Kong City Hall Theatre to the Young Vic in London whilst designing visual stage shows at national Opera Houses in Tokyo, Hamburg and London as well as stage projections for mayor bands. In the last years his focus on electronic and classical music won him 2 MAMA Awards and a Sound on Sound Remix Award in London.

'Eat,Work,Sleep' featured real and virtual dancers with a live band in a 3D holographic concert installation, won 2 MAMA Awards and was performed in major venues like Lowry Theatre Manchester, Kinetica Art Fair London and Fusion festival, Germany

‘Parallel Observations’ at the Royal Opera in Liege, Belgium included acrobats and an interactively animated set. It was performed by the orchestra of the opera house and UK singers and musicians, conducted by New Opera Hero.
